Comfort Women Lectures at SFSU

CWJC is proud to sponsor two free, public lectures on the history of Comfort Women. These lectures will be hosted by Professor Peipei Qiu (co-sponsored by the SFSU Asian American Studies Department) and Professor Su Zhiliang (co-sponsored by Global Alliances) and will be held at the SFSU Library Room 101 and Cathay House Restaurant, respectively. Professor Qiu and Professor Su are the authors of the critically acclaimed book Chinese Comfort Women: Testimonies from Imperial Japan’s Sex Slaves, which was published by Oxford University Press in 2014. These lectures offer everyone a rare opportunity to learn about or expand their knowledge of, Imperial Japan’s “Comfort Women” system from scholars who have spent innumerable hours researching this subject.
